Queenslanders use over 3 billion drink containers annually. A lot of them are being recycled to make new containers, but millions still end up as waste in landfill.
Many people are already returning their containers for a refund, but many others can’t be bothered or simply don’t have the time to return their containers to a refund point to be recycled. So, how do we help people to change?
With Containers for Change, we created a brand new app and service to tackle logistics and influence people’s behaviour towards waste. The Container Collect service, part of the Containers for Change app, enables people to make change from their home without much effort. Booking a collection is as easy as 1-2-3.
Access your member number and barcode for easy tracking. Also add close friends, charity organisations and schools.
Keep track of overall totals, monitor your environmental impact and view all your return history.
Looking for somewhere to return your containers? Locate and favourite your nearest return point with ease.
Not sure what containers are eligible? Scan any container barcode and understand what you can return.
Can’t get to a refund point? Free in-app home collection across 905 Queensland suburbs for maximum convenience.
Why can’t education be fun? Engage with addictive games such as Container Blitz and educational resources.
